The historical Hierapolis Ancient City and unprecedented travertines are on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. You can swim in Cleopatra Pool, healing thermal waters, and snow-white travertines. White Travertines contain calcium carbonate, sulfate, sodium, iron, potassium, and magnesium in their composition.
With the healing properties of water, it also cures many diseases. You will have the opportunity to see Pamukkale-Hierapolis. Pamukkale is currently located within the territory of the Republic of Turkey.
Ephesus is one of the most chosen destination in Turkey. Also Ephesus has the most famous ruins of Turkey. Ephesus is the city that hosts the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Ephesus is one of the First Seven Churches of Christianity mentioned in the Bible.
Also it is one the best preserved ancient Greek-Romans city of Turkey. The House of Virgin Mary was declared a place of pilgrimage by the Vatican in 1961.
The Ancient City of Pergamon, one of the most important cultural centers of the Hellenistic period, bears the traces of the Hellenistic period, especially in its libraries, temples, streets, waterways, fountains and cisterns, trade centers, theater and social areas. We recommend anyone interested in the Hellenistic Period to visit the Ancient City of Pergamon.
Also Pergamon was the home of Dr.Galen the founder of pharmacology. The Serapis Temple was converted into a church and was one of the first of the Severn Churches mentioned in the Bible. Pergamon is “throne of Satan,” referred to by St.John in the Book of Revelations.
The Ancient City of Troy is within the borders of Canakkale district in Turkey. The Trojan war, described by Homer in the famous epic of the Iliad(Achilles, Hector, Ajax, Agamemnon, Paris), takes place here. In addition, the ancient city of Troy bears the traces of the story of 5000 years of human history.
This important historical city was captured by the Persians, Alexander the Great, Seleucids, Pergamon Kingdom and the Romans. The ancient city of Troy has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1998. Mount Ida, Dardanel, Hellespont. These places mentioned in the Trojan Wars are located in Canakkale.
DAY1: Aphrodisias and Pamukkale Tour
We will pick you up from Izmir city center and The transfer guide will take you to Aphrodisias and Pamukkale. We will meet you there.
The places we will visit in Aphrodisias Ancient City are Aphrodisias Museum, Sebasteion (Temple of the Emperors), Southern Agora, Hadrian’s Bath, Bouleuterion and Temple of Aphrodite.
The Pamukkale entrance consists of 2 gates, North and South. We start our tour from the North gate. First, we visit the Ancient City of Hierapolis with our Tour Guide. In this magnificent city, our tour guide will tell you about the development of this ancient theater, and you will have the opportunity to see the place we call the Grand Theatre.
We will visit The Temple Of Apollo, and you will hear Its history from our guide. Afterwards, You will have a chance to see -The Nymphaeum (Monumental Fountain), Plutonium, Christian Basilica, Necropolis, and Martyrium of St. Philip. The history of those places will be mentioned by our tour guide properly.
When we finish to see Hierapolis, Our Tour guide will set you free for about 3 hours.During this time, we recommend you to see White Travertines which are magnificent as it is a Natural Wonder of the World. You can walk and swim there. Afterwards, There is also a pool named Cleopatra pool where you can swim and enjoy it with giving small amount of cost.
We will end the tour about 4:30 pm. Afterwards we will transfer you to the hotel where it is in Kusadasi.
DAY2: Ephesus Tour
We will pick you from the hotel around 10 am and we will be on our way to Ephesus and Tour begins.
First, We will pass through the verdant and picturesque countryside before arriving at our first stop which is The House of Virgin Mary. Afterwards we reach House of Virgin Mary. It is known that St. John brought the Virgin Mary to Ephesus 4 or 6 years after the death of Jesus.
Second, After The House of Virgin Mary, we will then head on to the next destination which will be the Ancient City of Ephesus; the tour here shall be a walking tour and will take you through one of the most magnificent archaeological sites in the entire world. You will be able to see the Odeon, The Fountain of Trajan, the steam baths of Scholastic, the Temple of Hadrian, and course lets’ not forget the very impressive library of Ephesus.
The library is adorned with columns and statues. The Grand Theatre, where Saint Paul preached, is the largest in antiquity with a capacity of 24.000 seats. Then We will pass through the Arcadian Way where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession.
Finally, Then we will continue on the tour and head on for our next stop which is the Temple of Artemis (Diana), this outstanding temple was built in honor of the Greek Goddess of hunting, wild nature, and fertility, deemed as one of the Seven wonders of the ancient world. The temple of Artemis used to be the largest marble temple in the ancient Greek world since it was four times as big as the Parthenon in Athens, Greece.
We will end the tour about 4:30 pm and we will take you to the Hotel in Kusadasi.
DAY3: Pergamon and Troy Tour
You will be picked up from the Hotel in Kusadasi at 9:30 am we will be on the way to Pergamon and our tour begins. Our tour will start from the Pergamon Ancient City. We start our first visit from the Pergamon Ancient City, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014. Afterwards, we complete our program by visiting the Pergamon Museum and the Asklepeion and go on the return journey.
Afterwards, we will drive to to Troy Ancient City. Our tour will continues from the Ancient City of Troy. You will be able to see Troy Museum, Trojan Horse, Pitos Garden, Eastern Wall and Small Theater (Odeion) etc.
When our tour called 3 Days Ephesus Aphrodisias Pamukkale Pergamon and Troy Tour is completed, we will drive to Izmir and take you the hotel where you stay at.
