WHAT WE DO?

We commence our journey at the Beth-Israel Synagogue, initiated in 1905 by Sultan Abdulhamid II in İzmir’s Karataş district, and inaugurated in 1907. Being the largest in Izmir, it stands as a prominent symbol. Moving forward, we’ll traverse Dario Moreno Street, named after the Jewish artist and İzmir enthusiast, reaching the renowned ‘Elevator’ area.

Our subsequent destination is Havra Street, housing Small Synagogues, some aged over 400 years. Adjacent to the historic Kemeraltı Bazaar, this location seamlessly connects the two. Further enriching our expedition, we’ll explore the Agora of Izmir, established in the 4th century BC and reconstructed under Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius after the 178 AD earthquake. Our final sojourn leads to Kadifekale, another cherished historic site.
