WHY WE OFFER THIS TOUR?

Sirince Village is about one and a half hours to the south from İzmir and half an hour from Kusadasi. The village of Şirince, once inhabited by Greeks, is hidden on a hill 10 km from Selçuk and has an incredible history. The history of this place dates back to approximately the 5th century AD.

There are two different beliefs about the foundation of the village: one is that the people living in Ephesus fled to the hill and founded this village due to the overflow of the river; the other is that the people living around sought a cool area because of the mosquitoes that reproduce in the summer months and set up this place to use it as a summer residence. Therefore our tour guide will explain everthing about this village history.
