Day 1: Kars & Dogubeyazit: Unveiling the Historical Richness
Our adventure begins in the captivating city of Kars, known for its rich historical and cultural heritage. After breakfast, we’ll start our day with a visit to Kars City Centre, where you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local atmosphere and savor the unique flavors of the region.
Our first stop will be the Fethiye Mosque, one of the most beautiful examples of Baltic architecture, built by the Russians as a Cathedral from the Russian occupation period, and historical buildings; Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, one of the Evliya Alperen’s who played a major role in the Turkification and Islamization of Anatolia, buried in Kars Castle (from a distance), Kumbet Mosque (Old Apostles Church) are among the places to see.
From there, we’ll journey to the ancient city of Ani, located near Dogubeyazıt, Ani Ruins, a significant settlement in the Middle Ages, will transport you back in time with its impressive Byzantine and Seljuk period artifacts. During our trip here, you will visit the City Walls, the Lion Gate, the Great Cathedral, the Church of St. Gregor, the Surp Kirkor Church, the Seljuk Palace, and the Menucehr Mosque.
After seeing the Ani Ruins, we moved to Dogubeyazit. Overnight in Dogubeyazit.

Day 2: Dogubeyazıt & Van: Tracing History and Enjoying Natural Beauty
Our destination after breakfast in Dogubeyazit is Mount Ararat, a legendary mountain surrounded by mythical stories. Our knowledgeable guide will provide fascinating insights into the mountain’s history and allure. From there, we’ll visit the magnificent Ishak Pasha Palace, a dazzling relic of the Ottoman era. Its elegant architecture and picturesque surroundings offer ample photo.
After lunch , we will continue our journey to city of Van over Lake Van (with a panoramic view of Lake), On the way we will stop by Muradiye Waterfall., After the exciting minutes, we will spend on the bridge, we turn our direction to the Ercis. Here, we will watch the migration of the Pearl Mullet, which lives only in this basin in the world and tries to reach the river beds to lay its eggs like salmon.
Next, we’ll visit Van Castle(Tuspa Castle), offering panoramic views of the city and fascinating stories of the past. The vastness and turquoise beauty of Lake Van, locally referred to as ‘the Sea,’ will leave you in awe.

Day 3: Van & Tatvan: Tracing History and Enjoying Natural Beauty
Start your day with a delightful breakfast at our hotel in Van, setting the tone for an energetic day ahead. Our first stop is the Van Ancient City, where you’ll follow the traces of the past and witness the rich history that Van holds. Afterwards,we go to the newly opened Van Archeology Museum(In the museum; Artifacts, coins and ethnographic works that shed light on Van folk culture from the Urartian, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Akkoyunlu, Karakoyunlu and Ottoman periods await their visitors.) and crown our castle tour.
Then we go to the Cat House,where you’ll learn about the famous Van Cats known for their striking appearance and love for water.
and where we can see the Van Cats one of the most important and cute creatures of the region.After the beautiful photos we will take with these cute friends,we’ll head to Akdamar Island, renowned for its breathtaking scenery and the Church of the Holy Cross.
This majestic church, dating back to the Middle Ages, will enchant you with its location atop the lake.
Our last stop is move to Nemrut Mountain, where Turkey’s largest crater lake is located. When you reach the summit of Mount Nemrut, the vast and magnificent view of Lake Van on the one hand and the fascinating view of Crater Lake on the other hand will impress you.
We’ll then drive to Tatvan and spend the night there, surrounded by the serene beauty of the region.

Day 4: Tatvan & Midyat: Unraveling Mysteries of the Past
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll begin our day with a visit Ahlat Seljuk Cemetery is the world’s largest Turkish-Islamic cemetery from the Middle Ages, located in the Ahlat district of Bitlis. The cemetery is today an open-air museum and has been included in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation’s Tentative List of World Heritage Sites. Afterwards we will visit Emir Bayındır Tomb.
From there, we’ll journey to the charming town of Midyat, renowned for its traditional craftsmanship and historical allure. Witness artisans practicing traditional crafts like silverwork and indulge in shopping for unique souvenirs. There we will also visit Midyat Historical Houses and Mor Gabriel Monastery.
It is the oldest surviving Syriac Orthodox monastery in the world. Among the places we will visit The House of Virgin Mary Church. It belongs to the Assyrian Catholic Community. The church, built by Antioch Patriarch Ignatios Antuhan Semheri in 1986, has arches, round stone columns and railings in the courtyard.
In Midyat’s city center, stroll through the narrow streets lined with traditional stone houses to immerse yourself in the rich local culture. Our guide will enlighten you about the city’s profound historical and archaeological importance, providing a deeper understanding of its captivating past.

Day 5: Mardin & Diyarbakır: A Journey through Time
Our adventure continues in Mardin, a city known for its unique stone houses, narrow winding streets, and rich historical ambiance. Continuing our tour, we’ll arrive at Dara Ancient City, a historical treasure trove adorned with remnants dating back to the Roman period, following Zerzevan castle. Our next stop is Darülzafiran Aga Church, a true gem with its elegant architecture and historical significance. As you explore the church, our guide will provide fascinating insights into its history.
Next, we’ll proceed to the heart of Mardin City Centre. Visit Mardin Archeology Museum (A museum with archaeological and ethnographic collections. Archaeological artifacts from the period from 4000 BC to the 7th century BC are exhibited.)Stroll through the city center, savor local flavors, and explore regional crafts. Our journey continues with a visit to the Ulu Mosque, known for its grand architecture and historical importance.
While exploring the mosque, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about Islamic culture and Mardin’s history. Spend the night in Diyarbakır and prepare for another day of exploration.

Day 6: Diyarbakır & Sanliurfa: Unveiling the Beauty of Sanliurfa
As we transition to Diyarbakır, we’ll marvel at the well-preserved Diyarbakır city walls(It is the longest city walls in the world after the Great Wall of China. The walls are 5.2 km long.), a true treasure of the region. Our guide will enlighten you about their history and significance. Hasan Pasha Han, a beautiful example of Ottoman-era architecture, will captivate you with its traditional handicraft shops.
While in Diyarbakır, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Four-Legged Minaret, a unique symbol of the region. Capture photos and learn interesting facts about this distinctive structure. Our next destination is, Surp Giragos Armenian Church or St. Kyriakos Church is a historical Armenian Apostolic Church located in the Sur district of Diyarbakır in southeastern Turkey and was expropriated by the government in 2016.
Also we will visit Mar Petyun Keldani Katolik Church. The final stop of the day is the Ten-Eyed Bridge, known for its unique architecture and historical significance.
