Izmir Daily Trip (Private)
Day Tour Turkey
CONCEPT OF THE TOUR
WHAT WE DO?
Our tour commences at the Izmir Clock Tower, constructed in 1901 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ottoman Sultan II. Abdülhamid’s ascension to the throne. Following that, we’ll proceed to a location known as the ‘Elevator,’ passing through Dario Moreno Street, named after Dario Moreno, an Izmir enthusiast and artist of Jewish origin. Our subsequent destination is Kemeraltı Bazaar. Kemeraltı has taken shape through land reclamation along the coastline and the establishment of new residential and commercial areas since 1650-1670.
Furthermore, Kemeraltı functions as a vibrant district and bustling bazaar with a strong emphasis on commercial activities. Another historic site on our itinerary is the Agora of Izmir. Dating back to the 4th century BC, the Agora underwent reconstruction with support from the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius following the earthquake in 178 AD. Our final stop brings us to Kadıfekale, yet another captivating historical site.
