Formerly known as Halicarnassus, this coastal jewel was founded by the Dorians and historically inhabited the Carian and Ionian regions. Throughout the ages, Bodrum has been home to countless civilizations, from Persia and Alexander the Great to the Egyptian pharaohs, the Romans, the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire. Today, Bodrum is thriving as part of the Republic of Turkey, integrating its rich historical fabric with its modern identity.

CONCEPT OF THE TOUR

At 04:30 in the morning you will be picked up from the hotel or pick-up point and we will depart for the airport. You will travel to Milas-Bodrum airport with 07:00 flight from Istanbul. After landing at Milas airport, our transfer staff will meet you. Afterward, you will start your journey towards Bodrum. Our tour guide will tell you everything accurately about the history of the places we will visit. You will be able to see St. Peter’s Castle (Cruiseders Castle) built by the Knights of St. Peter in 1402. Then we will present the Greek Theater, built in the 4th century BC during the reign of the satrap Mausollos.

Also Bodrum Underwater Archeology Museum and The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus will be visited. After taking a break we will visit Myndos Gate. Myndos Gate is the gate through which Alexander the Great entered Bodrum. Finally After visiting The Wind Mills our tour will come to an end.
